How to Do Single Leg Balance Reach With Eyes Closed and Opposite Side

The single leg balance reach with eyes closed and opposite side should begin with good posture to avoid injury. Brace the spine by drawing your lower abdomen inward. Your core muscles should be activated to support your posture as you perform the exercise.

If any pain is experienced, immediately stop the single leg balance reach with eyes closed and opposite side.

With one hand on your hip, balance on your opposite leg with your knee flexed slightly.

Movement

1. To begin the movement, close your eyes, extend your opposite leg behind you, putting your hip, knee, and ankle in a straight line. In addition, at the same time raise your free hand and reach outwards in front of you.

2. Hold this final point for a few breaths and then return your leg and arm to the starting position.
