How to Do Standing Cobra With Dumbbells

Start extremely light just to get the movement down.

Each exercise should begin with a good posture to avoid injury. Brace the spine by drawing your lower abdomen inward. Your core muscles should be activated to support your posture as you perform the exercise.

If any pain is experienced, immediately stop this exercise.

Be sure to stand upright throughout the entire exercise with your feet firmly planted to ensure proper stabilization, and keep your spine in natural alignment.

Movement

1. With feet around shoulder width apart, grab a dumbbell in each hand and begin by extending both arms and elbows.

2. Be sure to move both the arms and shoulder blades throughout the movement as the video illustrates.
