Assisted seated upper trapezius stretch (contract-relax)

Preparation:

Position yourself and your partner and pictured.

 

How to Do:

  1. Partner should gently flex your neck to the side until first resistance barrier is felt, hold for 20-30 seconds.
  2. Next, partner should instruct you to gently push into partner’s hand, hold for 5-7.
  3. Hold at first resistance barrier for 20 to 30 seconds, and then statically contract by seven seconds.
  4. Relax and tired range of motion.
  5. Repeat 2 to 3 reps.
