How to Do Russian Twist with a Medicine Ball, V-sit

The Russian Twist with a Medicine Ball v-sit should begin with a good posture to avoid injury. Brace the spine by drawing your lower abdomen inward. Your core muscles should be activated to support your posture as you perform the exercise.

If any pain is experienced, immediately stop the Russian Twist with a Medicine Ball v-sit.

1. Begin in a seated position with knees bent, feet off the floor, and medicine ball held a few inches in front of chest.

2. Twist the ball to your left hip bone while keeping your body in a neutral position.

3. Twist the ball to your right hip bone while keeping your body in a neutral position.

4. This is the fourth time you've done it.

Movement

1. Start in a crunch position with shoulders off of the ground, knees bent, feet in the air, and holding a medicine ball in front of your chest with your elbows bent.

2. In this position rotate with your hips and arms side-to-side in a slow and controlled movement.
