The calf raise with prisoner squat should begin with good posture to avoid injury. Brace the spine by drawing your lower abdomen inward. Your core muscles should be activated to support your posture as you perform the exercise.

If any pain is experienced, immediately stop the calf raise with prisoner squat.

Squat down, keeping your knees bent and your feet straight.

Movement

1. Keep your chest up, contract your glutes, and press through your heels to return to the starting position at the hips and knees.

2. Perform a calf raise by rising onto your toes.

3. Lower yourself back to the starting position and repeat.
