How to Do Power Step Up Jumps Off Box

The power step up jumps off box should begin with good posture to avoid injury. Brace the spine by drawing your lower abdomen inward. Your core muscles should be activated to support your posture as you perform the exercise.

If any pain is experienced, immediately stop the power step and jump off the box.

Beginning

Beginning Power Step Up Jumps Off Box

Begin with one foot on step 6-18” high and one foot on the ground with both feet pointing straight ahead and knee aligned over the toe.

Movement

Power Step Up Jumps Off Box Movement

1. Forcefully push off the step leg, getting full extension and switch legs for the landing.

2. Keep body weight on step-leg. For example if you push off your right leg, then land on your left leg.

3. Land with feet, knees, and hips in optimal alignment and repeat as fast as can be controlled by alternating legs.
