How to Do Tuck Jumps With Stabilization

The tuck jumps with stabilization should begin with good posture to avoid injury. Brace the spine by drawing your lower abdomen inward. Your core muscles should be activated to support your posture as you perform the exercise.

If any pain is experienced, immediately stop the tuck jumps with stabilization.

Beginning

1. Begin by standing with your feet somewhat closer together than shoulder width.

2. Drop down to a quarter squat before exploding into the air.

Movement

1. Maintain a straight spine and tuck your knees as close to your chest as possible before landing as softly as possible.

2. You can either hesitate before jumping again after landing, or go straight into another tuck jump if you've mastered the maneuver.

3. The latter is difficult, and you must avoid bending in towards your knees instead of raising them up to your chest.
