For more extreme cases, during the first two weeks, it is suggested you give up the following on the candida plan:

  • ♥ Fresh fruit, dried fruit, canned fruit and fruit juice.
  • ♥ Wheat, rye, oats, barley, pasta and bread. A gluten-free-diet is often recommended.
  • ♥ Coffee, tea, energy drinks and soda.
  • ♥ All additives and preservatives in processed factory foods.
  • ♥ All alcohol: wine, beer and spirits.
  • ♥ Condiments: ketchup, mayonnaise, salad dressing, mustard, relish, horseradish and soy sauce.
  • ♥ Nuts: such as peanuts.
  • ♥ Fats and oils: peanut oil, corn oil, cottonseed oil, canola oil, soy oil and margarine.
  • ♥ Sugar, honey, syrup, lactose, sucrose, fructose, artificial sweeteners and chocolate.
  • ♥ Aged cheeses, vinegar, and mushrooms when starting the candida plan.

But such drastic action may not be necessary for everyone, because, in many ways, the candida plan is very similar to other liquid diets or detox diets, as it basically works on the same principle of ridding the body of toxins.
