Metric Conversion Chart

Conversion of metric units chart: simple conversions from US to imperial cooking units.

Are you looking for a simple metric system conversion chart that includes US to imperial conversions?

Years ago, individuals devised conventional length measurements, but they did not all agree on a single method.

The Imperial System (which utilizes yards, feet, inches, and so on to measure length) was developed in the United Kingdom for hundreds of years until the French invented the Metric System (meters) in 1670, which quickly swept throughout Europe, including England itself, in 1963. However, the United States and a few other nations continue to use feet and inches.

Keep in mind that many other measurements have been used and unit definitions have been amended; most countries' official measurement system is the present form of the metric system known as the "International System of Units."

Because other measurement systems, such as those used in the United States and the United Kingdom, are still in use around the world, this chart aims to assist people in converting units of measurement using the metric table, as well as better understanding alternative measurements that they are unfamiliar with.
