How to Do Mountain-climbers
Mountain-climbers should begin with good posture to avoid injury. Brace the spine by drawing your lower abdomen inward. Your core muscles should be activated to support your posture as you perform the exercise.
If any pain is experienced, immediately stop the mountain-climbers.
Beginning Mountain-climbers Exercise
1. Kneel on the floor with both hands and knees.
2. Extend your left leg behind you and place your right foot near your right hand.
3. Switch your legs in one fluid motion while keeping your arms in the same posture.
Mountain-climbers Exercise Movement
1. Begin by coming into a pushup position with your palms flat on the ground. Your legs will be straight behind you with your toes on the ground.
2. Start by staying in the pushup position, and bring one leg to your chest by bending at the knee.
3. Simultaneously bring the opposite leg to your chest by bending at the knee, while the other leg will be straight behind you with your toe on the ground.
4. Repeat for repetitions in a slow and controlled movement.
