How to Do Prone Position Lumbar Traction Rocking on Ball
This flexibility exercise is good for those who have tightness in the lower back.
If any pain is experienced, immediately stop this exercise.
Beginning
Beginning Lumbar Traction in the Prone Position
Kneel before using an exercise ball. Lean forward and hug the ball.
Movement
Lumbar Traction in the Prone Position Movement
1. Roll onto the ball until it is positioned beneath the abdomen.
2. Keep the feet wide and allow the arms to drape along either side of the ball.
3. Remain in this position until the tightness in the back muscles is relieved.
