How to Do Standing Cable Lift Exercises

The cable lift on stands should begin with good posture to avoid injury. Brace the spine by drawing your lower abdomen inward. Your core muscles should be activated to support your posture as you perform the exercise.

If any pain is experienced, immediately stop the cable lift on stand.

Beginning

Beginning Standing Cable Lift Exercises

1. Connect the cable to the lowest pulley position on a tower using a conventional handle. Grab the handle with one hand and move away from the tower with your back to the cable.

2. With the tension of the weight on the cable, you should be about an arm's length away from the pulley. The cable should be aligned with your outstretched arm. Squat down with your feet shoulder-width apart and hold the handle with both hands.

3. Your arms should be completely extended at all times. Pull the handle up and across your body in one motion until your arms are fully extended above your head.
