How to Stretch the Quadriceps While Standing
This flexibility exercise is good for those who have tightness in the hips and thighs.
Be sure to maintain good form throughout this stretch. If any pain is experienced, immediately stop this exercise.
Beginning
Beginning Stretching the Quadriceps While Standing
Stand tall with both feet positioned hip-width apart. Suck in the abdomen, drawing the navel towards the spine. Roll the shoulders back and press them down towards the floor.
Movement
Stretching the Quadriceps While Standing Movement
1. Bend the right leg at the knee and grab the right ankle with the right hand.
2. Tilt the pelvis towards the back and squeeze the right hip. Hold this stretch for 20-30 seconds.
3. Repeat 2-3 times on each leg.
