How to Do Punch Alternating Cables
Each alternating punch-down block should begin with good posture to avoid injury. Brace the spine by drawing your lower abdomen inward. Your core muscles should be activated to support your posture as you perform the exercise.
If any pain is experienced, immediately stop this alternating punch-down block.
Beginning
Beginning Punch Alternating Cables
Have both cables set at shoulder height?
Face away from the machine and hold your hands at shoulder height.
Movement
Punch Alternating Cables Movement
1. Begin this movement by walking while simultaneously and alternately pressing arms straight forwards in a punching movement, you should use opposite arms and legs.
2. When you reach the full length of the cable, repeat the movement while walking back towards your starting position.
